What a story this could be. Again, similar to Henderson, if he’s fit, let him roll. He’s earned this start, he’s worked incredibly hard to stick his middle fingers to doctors that told him his season was over in October. Let him have this gigantic FOH moment, please.

Plus Ings could personify a cliff hanger to a good book– leaving us hanging, salivating for next season. As long as those medical folks, the player and manager all agree that hit fitness cannot be compromised, there’s nothing to lose. Even if he sucks because he’s rusty, it’s all about the fact he was able to play, which is a huge accomplishment in and of itself.

But if he’s good? Oh man, we might riot, and he might earn himself a spot on the Europa League final bench. He’s earned that shot.
