ST Christian Benteke

Speaking of players that will be on the Europa League final bench, Christian Benteke starts after scoring a goal gift wrapped to him by Asmir Begovic to earn Liverpool a point in their final match at Anfield this season.

Benteke could be on the way out, he probably is in all honestly. It hasn’t worked out for him this year at Liverpool which is unfortunate, because he really is a good player. Liverpool just didn’t play to his strengths, which is unfortunate. When every single dead ball is rolled short and the only times crosses come in are late, after he’s been forced to be stagnant, it’s difficult on the Belgian.

He’s been linked with West Ham, imagine an ex-Liverpool strike force of Benteke and Andy Carroll? Call me a romantic brute, but for some reason I have an affinity to playing different, I wouldn’t mind seeing Dimi Payet and Michael Antonio launching crosses to those behemoths– except for when they beat Liverpool again doing it.
