Liverpool transfer target Piotr Zielinski was caught in plain sight wearing a Liverpool kit.

Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, on loan at Empoli this season, has been linked with Liverpool and hasn’t been shy in speaking about Jurgen Klopp’s club.

Now, he wasn’t shy in appearing in a Liverpool shirt.

The account, @ynwagram, speculates that maybe a deal has been sorted? It’d be odd if there isn’t something concrete behind this, unless he’s just pulling a 2016 version of Peter Odemwingie, who infamously drove to QPR on deadline day in hopes of securing a move, only to have failed in securing a move.

But back to his affinity for proudly speaking about Liverpool’s prior reported interest, here’s what he had to say on those rumors in April.

"“There is a lot of truth in rumours about Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is interested in me, we had some talks. I’m not thinking too much about it right now though, I’ve still got few games to play for Empoli and after that there is still Euro 2016 in France.”"

Prior to that, in March,  Zielinski wanted to say how much he wants to play alongside Philippe Coutinho.

"“Everyone knows Coutinho who is very technically gifted. He can shoot with either foot, no matter if it’s left of right. I think I have something in common with him. Coutinho is fast, he creates the game on the pitch. Definitely he is one of the best Liverpool players this season. I really like his style of play, I watch him closely. It would be great to play alongside Coutinho. I am sure we could be a good duo on the pitch. We’ll see what will happen.”"

Of course, Zielinski also alluded to completing “such a great transfer.”

"“Some people say these are just the rumors. I know a little bit more about it. But until now I just try to play as best as I can in Empoli to have a possible chance in June for such a big transfer move.”"

The 21 year old, about to turn 22 on May 20, may well be a player on his way into Merseyside. Watch this space.
