Liverpool go marching to Basel to play Sevilla in the Europa League final. Rush The Kop’s Liverpool predicted XI.

Liverpool are in a Europa League final. If they win this singular match, they qualify for the Champions League, despite finishing 8th in the Premier League and swapping managers in October.

Think about that. Ponder back to September, Liverpool hosted fourth division Carlisle United at Anfield in the Capital One Cup. It took penalties for Liverpool to progress, Brendan Rodgers was on the touchline and Adam Bogdan was the hero. Imagine being asinine enough at that time to imagine a scenario that Liverpool currently find themselves in right now?

Oh how things have changed.

Liverpool have embarked on a magical Europa League ride, one that began with the flat tire of drawing FC Sion at Anfield on the first of October but progressed into the Fast & Furious drag race 5-4 aggregate win over Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals.

Since Jurgen Klopp took over, there have been few, if any, players to escape the injury bug, so the manager has been forced to use a high number of players. As such, there are a high numbers of players who could rationally deserve to start on Wednesday.

Furthermore, some might not even make the bench. With Danny Ings and Christian Benteke both back, and possibly Divock Origi, all three surely cannot be selected for the bench. Ditto for Jordon Ibe and Sheyi Ojo, one of them, at least, will be left out of the match day squad. If Mamadou Sakho wasn’t banned and exiled from the universe then Martin Skrtel wouldn’t even make the bench, either.

Here we go. It’s a cup final, a trophy is on the line. This could be an incredible day for Liverpool Football Club and I for one certainly cannot wait for kick off.
