LB Alberto Moreno

Notice how many happy pictures we’re using here. We could have used one of the million stock photos of Mignolet looking like he’s trying to remember if he turned his stove off before he went to the stadium or one of the pictures of Toure screaming. (Granted, that last one would have made me smile ear to ear. Kolo Toure for life.)

But we want to be happy before then final because damnit we deserve to be.

Moreno has been very good recently. His partnership going forward on the left wing with Philippe Coutinho has been tremendous and important. He allows Coutinho to drift inside, where he’s more effective, because Moreno provides width and a viable option.

And Moreno is even, once in a while, taking a look up at where the bodies are in the box before he crosses and *tries* to pick someone out instead of smashing it as hard as he can in the general direction of the goal. Neat!
