15. Christian Benteke

So this is what £32.5million is worth in a striker? The conversion rate is 10 goals and roughly 17 missed breakaways?

In defense of Benteke: Liverpool played away from his strengths. Crosses were less frequent than a Mignolet error leading to goals, and when they did come, they were late and hopeful at best. Benteke had to regularly grow stagnant as the crosses came late, and he was easy to mark. It wasn’t always his fault.

BUT.

His finishing wasn’t great, to say the least, and it only got worse when he conference waned. Benteke, like others in this area of the rankings, may have played his last game at Liverpool. He claims he wants to stay and fight for his place, but who knows. Maybe it’d be best for him to move on, anyway. He’s behind Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge as of now and who knows where he stands with Ings.
