Final 2015-16 Liverpool squad rankings

12. Divock Origi
It’s fitting that Origi passes Benteke on this list, like he did at Liverpool and for Belgium.
The season didn’t start off great for Origi: he didn’t score his first goal until a League Cup game against Southampton after Klopp took over, where he scored a hat trick, and he wasn’t getting regular playing time until all of the other forwards were injured.
Then Origi got injured, too, because it was that kind of season. He was injured a child and returned a man, putting on about 10 lbs of muscle and had to go up one shirt size, which is incredible. With his new found strength, he continued to score after that hat trick against Southampton.
Origi made 33 appearances though only 15 starts across all competitions and he scored 10 goals, which is a really good return for the 21 year old striker.
When he was on a great run of form, unfortunately he got hurt again. He came back in time to make the bench for the Europa League final, but he was unable to make an impact as Liverpool lost.
