Final 2015-16 Liverpool squad rankings

11. Jordan Henderson
Injuries was a major storyline of 2015-16 for Liverpool, and the poster boy for that drama was Henderson. The FIFA 16 cover boy was meant to step out of Steven Gerrard’s shadow as the new captain at Liverpool and take another step forward, as he had done every year since he’s joined Liverpool.
Before we continue on his season, let’s applaud that notion on Henderson. He genuinely has gotten better every single year since he joined from Sunderland. *claps*
Anyway.
The 25 year old didn’t have the campaign that he would have imagined. A heel injury suffered against Bournemouth cost him a few months and he never did get back into form before being injured again at the end of the season. Henderson was limited to just 15 starts in the Premier League. If he was available for every match, how many would he have made? Upside of 32, definitely.
Henderson is better than the 11th best player on the roster, but that’s how it goes in an injury riddled campaign.
