26. Adam Bogdan

Let’s start at the bottom of the barrel. It felt, at times, that there could not be someone worse than Simon Mignolet at Liverpool.

Well, Bogdan proved that theory to be incorrect. Remember when he duped us all against Carlisle United? We were so ready to give love to any keeper who didn’t have “Mignolet” on the back of their shirt that we threw it out to Bogdan because he had a good match against a fourth division side. He didn’t even keep a clean sheet, and we were like YEAH START HIM OVER MIGNOLET.

Then he did start over Mignolet. And he was awful against Watford from the first minute to the last.

Mignolet came back in the team, and Bogdan got another chance in the FA Cup against Exeter City, and he was just as bad then. So Klopp recalled Danny Ward and banished Bogdan, never to be seen again until the last day of the season because Ward was hurt and Liverpool had the Europa League final to worry about.

This is why you don’t sign players because they had one good game against you, damnit.
