Final 2015-16 Liverpool squad rankings

4. James Milner
Boring James Milner didn’t hit the ground flying, which isn’t shocking because it’s James Milner. In true form, he slowly gained steam and grew to be a hugely important player in the team by the end of the season.
As most others in the club, he just got better as the season grew on and when the dust settled Milner finished with seven goals and 14 (!) assists in all competitions, where he made 40 starts.
The player was signed with assurances Rodgers would be the manager, he’d play regular football and play central midfield.
Then Rodgers was sacked and he began spending some time at right mid and even a few cameos at right fullback. But Milner persevered like the true professional he is.
