2. Roberto Firmino

Firmino started slow, but carried Liverpool at a time and once he got cooking, he never really stopped.

The Brazilian was utilized out of position and out of fitness by Rodgers at the beginning of the season. Funny how his form began to shift when Firmino was able to play in his preferred positions in the center of the field!

The 24 year old registered 11 goals and 9 assists, but his quality cannot be simply hidden in goals + assists. On the ball, he’s calm and eloquent. Off it, he presses and runs much more than his calm nature gives off to fans.
