21. Jordon Ibe

A disappointing season for Ibe, who was meant to burst through the Raheem Sterling sized chasm in the team.

But let’s pump the breaks here for a second. Ibe started the season as a 19 year old and turned 20 during the campaign, because that’s how birthdays work. He still can’t legally drink if he goes on holiday to the United States, but apparently he’s damaged goods now according to some Liverpool fans.

Ibe was out of confidence most of the season, which was sad to see. This is what happens to young players when they’re handed ridiculously high expectations for no reason. So what if Sterling was great then left, that’s got nothing to do with Ibe.

There have been reports that Ibe is on his way out of Liverpool, which would be a huge mistake. There’s still bags of potential underneath it all. He just needs a little bit of time, patience and some incubation to cultivate the talents out of him. Klopp should be the man to do that.

Playing time next season could be a problem, though, as Liverpool don’t have any European football and he’s certainly on the outside looking in for the startling lineup. Hell, he might not even be on the initial list to get on the bench for the first Premier League match of 2016-17.
