Final 2015-16 Liverpool squad rankings
By Tom Bogert
20. Sheyi Ojo
Ojo was on loan at Wolverhampton where, in five starts and 12 substitute appearances, he scored two goals and created a further three. Then as an injury crisis hit Liverpool, as well as the differential in theories for young players in which Klopp prefers to have his young players stay at the club, was recalled.
The young winger made five starts in the Premier League as Liverpool went on a League Cup and Europa League run and was forced to rotate where Ojo took his chance brilliantly. He also scored a beautiful goal in the FA Cup. He hasn’t scored in the Premier League for Liverpool yet, but he made three assists.
Ojo may have taken over Ibe as Liverpool’s premier young winger for the future as Ibe has had a less than desirable 2015-16.
The Englishman is still raw, yes, but his talent is undeniable and exciting.
