9. Mamadou Sakho

Sakho gets the nod over Lovren in this fictional sequence because he’s proven longer at Liverpool. Lovren reverted back to being a good player this season, but Sakho had been doing it for the majority of his time at Liverpool.

The poor Frenchman had the end of his season and European Championships robbed from him because of UEFA’s ineptitude. They banned him for failing a drug test then pretty much just muttered “my bad” in June and said his ban was no longer in effect and no further action would be taken.

Frustrating.
