Liverpool have 12 players at the 2016 European Championships. Who will be the best and most important to their teams?

FUN FACT: Liverpool lead the Premier League in players competing in the 2016 European Championships, which is especially cool considering arguably the club’s best two players are South American.

(Disclaimer: Lucas Leiva is NOT one of the South Americans being alluded to)

This pair of facts makes it all the more frustrating that Liverpool finished 8th in the league and returned no trophies last season.

Make no mistake about it, Liverpool’s season ended in a make or break game that broke the season. Sometimes it happens as such, and it’s not fair to pin a season on one game and they worked their way into that situation borderline miraculously, but so it goes.

The difference is that Liverpool don’t have any bonafide starters on teams that are among the favorites for the Euros. They generally have 12 squad players.

Anyway. Liverpool have 12 players competing in the world’s premier continental tournament for International play, and here they are, ranked for who will have the best tournament.
