Loser: Raheem Sterling

When Raheem Sterling loses, Liverpool wins. #ShoutoutPettiness.

Sterling has been horrific in the Euros. He’s actually induced a think-piece headlined “How did Raheem Sterling turn into England’s Jesus Navas? He was supposed to be Gareth Bale!” Writing an article comparing a young winger to Jesus Navas is pretty much the literary form of cutting someone’s legs off.

The City player labored through an unimpressive first match against Russia then was yanked after just 45 minutes against Wales because he was absolutely useless. Sturridge came in, Sturridge scored the winner.

Let’s count that as a Liverpool victory, because we’ve got to grab our W’s wherever we can find them.

Shoutout pettiness.
