Loser: Fears that Coutinho would win Copa and leave

After Coutinho scored a hat trick against Haiti (yeah, I know, Haiti, but still), I feared one or two more performances like that and he’d definitely be on his way out. With concrete courtship from PSG and buddy-buddy, wink-wink flirting interest from the pretty girl across the room in Neymar and Barcelona, it was going to be squeaky bum time for Liverpool fans until the summer window closed.

But now that Brazil took a premature exit from the tournament? Liverpool can put a cloak of anonymity on Coutinho and do their best to keep him and his pristine footballing abilities out of the public eye. Maybe buy a Men in Black style laser-pen that’ll make PSG and Barcelona forget the Brazilian exists until he lines up for Liverpool against Arsenal on August 13.

Deal? Deal.
