Loser: Most-to-all Liverpool players in this competition

Adam Lallana, Joe Allen and Martin Skrtel are the only players to start both of their games for their respective countries in Europe, while Coutinho was apart of an ignominious exit from the Copa America at the hands of South American minnows Peru. To boot, apparently Roberto Firmino wasn’t good enough to get in that squad.

Danny Ward was only allotted a start for Wales because their starting keeper got injured a few days before their first match.

Liverpool’s Belgium contingent have struggled. Simon Mignolet and Christian Benteke (obviously) didn’t get off the bench. Divock Origi didn’t start then missed two guilt edged chances to draw level for his country at the end of the game.

Jordan Henderson and Nathaniel Clyne are yet to feature for Engalnd while James Milner has had about 3 minutes on the pitch, where he was present for Russia’s last gasp equalizer against his country.

Emre Can ain’t gonna crack that midfield of Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira and Mario Gotze anytime soon, either.
