Loris Karius/ Ryan Fulton/ Shamal George

Now, I’d love Jurgen Klopp to test Loris Karius early and assess whether or not he should start in the later friendlies and ultimately the league, but I feel a youth keeper could be offered the chance here.

Ryan Fulton or Danny Ward are first team keepers that could be in with a shout, but I’d like to see the U18’s keeper, Shamal George, be given a run. He’s a boyhood Liverpool fan, who apparently has good communication skills and is a decent shot stopper.

I’d prefer to see Karius, expect to see Ryan Fulton given the promise around the player, but I’d certainly be interested to see how a younger player like Shamal George performs when offered the chance.
