Piechnik enjoyed a career of longevity, spanning 20 years. Slightly more than one of those were donated to Liverpool, and it wasn’t particularly good.
The Danish international was purchased the summer of Euro 1992 where he impressed and Liverpool won the race for the central defender’s signature.
Piechnik’s last appearance for Liverpool was when he was unceremoniously removed at halftime on the losing side of a romp from Newcastle. He’d be back to Denmark before long.
