Brad Jones /// 27 appearances /// 3 phantom injuries

Brad Jones. Ugh.

The Australian might’ve had one of the best gigs in the world, except for when Reina got hurt or when Mignolet proved how little he could be trusted and Jones would actually have to play some football. It didn’t seem like he much fancied actually playing.

In his 27 appearances, (shockingly) Liverpool won 55% of those games. Only 11 of those games were in the Premier League, though.

LIVERPOOL SPENT £2.3MILLION ON THIS GUY. And Brendan Rodgers, as a parting gift before he was canned, actually teetered with the idea of giving him a new contract after doing literally nothing to earn one.

There can’t quite be a fathomable reality in which Karius fails to live up to the expectations that Jones has laid the foundations for. There just can’t be.
