In Liverpool’s injury ridden and fixture congested season post-Danny Ings ACL tear, he missed out on huge opportunities.

The biggest, of course, was that he couldn’t work with Klopp. Other than in trainers rather than cleats. This was also before Klopp could bring in any players in the transfer window, so an incumbent Ings would’ve had the chance to take a Divock Origi-type leap from the periphery and cement himself in the starting team.

Ings would have had a ton of chances and everything about him screams a perfect Klopp player. We’ll just have to wait and see if his quality matches his intangibles.
