GK Loris Karius

Finally. A starting ‘keeper not named “Mignolet” or “Bogdan”. This is beautiful.

Karius will begin preseason as the unquestioned number one, as Simon Mignolet will have a few weeks off following his few weeks on the bench with Belgium. Whenever Mignolet rejoins, though, Karius will still be the unquestioned number one. He damn well better be.

The German was lauded last season for his exploits in the Bundesliga, where he was voted by the players as the second best keeper in the division behind Manuel Neuer.
