I can’t wait to see what Klopp does with Markovic. Can he improve the player who showed moments of brilliance in his first season for Liverpool amid an inconsistent and anonymous campaign or will he follow Jordon Ibe out the door sooner than later?
In true Markovic form against Tranmere, he played well in moments but still left some to be desired, including an empty net attempt that smashed the post.
In a fluidly rotated front part of the team, it’s good to let Markovic play a bit with Roberto Firmino and other players who’ll be first team regulars, as it is for all the young players getting time early in preseason as Emre Can and the other internationals return from duty for their countries this summer.
