6. Daniel Sturridge /// Joined: January, 2013

Speaking of that brilliant month, Sturridge was brought in a few weeks before Coutinho was in that magical January 2013 for the transfer committee.

Sturridge came to Liverpool from Chelsea in search of regular first team football and when healthy, he’s delivered with results every single time. His goal-to-game ratio has been sterling at Liverpool, it’s just that pesky notion of fitness.

The striker has scored 43 goals in 69 appearances in the league for Liverpool but has only pushed through the 15 Premier League match threshold for the club once in his four seasons, though one of them was that half a season when he came from Chelsea.

Sturridge could be poised to be at the club for a while longer too, as with Coutinho, though it’d be more reasonable for Coutinho to leave. Being that the midfielder is foreign and wanted by the likes of PSG and Barcelona, it’s difficult for players to turn down those offers when they roll in. Sturridge could too, but hopefully Klopp halts that trend of Liverpool’s best players leaving.
