5. Andre Wisdom /// Debut: September, 2012

Yep. The fifth longest serving player for Liverpool Football Club hasn’t actually played for the club since the beginning of 2013/14. And is likely to leave the club this summer. That’s the dire situation the club finds themselves in by way of veteran players at the club.

We use “debut” here because we’re only tracking first team time, of course.

Speaking of debuts, Wisdom christened his with a goal against Young Boys in the Europa League, his only one for the club. All downhill from there.

With every successive loan it’s gotten more disappointing from Wisdom. The defender made that memorable debut then had a successful loan spell with Derby County in the Championship. The club wanted him to get Premier League experience the following season so he went to West Brom where he did meh, alright.

This season he was sent out to Norwich and that can be summarized as nothing but a downer, playing just ten league matches for the club that’d be relegated.

But he’s still here.
