Liverpool preseason/July squad rankings: Who’s king?

4. Emre Can

With all the attacking options in the team, Can will be hugely important for Liverpool this season. There’s an abundance of attacking midfielders but behind Can in defensive midfield it’s pretty much just Lucas Leiva, who may be leaving anyway. If not, it’s Kevin Stewart.

Can took a huge step in development last year with regular playing time in midfield in his sophomore season at Liverpool and hopes to push forward again.
