10. Nathaniel Clyne

Mr. Consistent is such an important and fantastic player for Liverpool, though unfortunately the nature of a fullback he can’t impact the team enough to push higher in the rankings.

It’s much easier to be disastrous from this position. Just ask Alberto Moreno.

When you’re great, like Clyne, it’s easy for him to be lost in translation. Mistakes from fullbacks are glaring, though. It’s a tough line to straddle.

The best compliment to Clyne is to try and remember anything from him last season. Usually it’s just him being positionally responsible, making mundane defensive contributions that continue to pile up. There isn’t really one shining moment for Clyne.

Now ask yourself the same question on Moreno, or Glen Johnson, first memories that come to mind with them? Probably Moreno’s hellacious performance against Sevilla or Manchester City or Manchester United. You’ll get a few of his goals or pace going forward, but more mistakes.

You don’t remember any mistakes from Clyne because there pretty much are none.
