When Liverpool play Barcelona in their penultimate preseason game, they should trot out their first choice XI. Rush The Kop’s Liverpool predicted XI.

As Liverpool squeezed two preseason fixtures within 24 hours of each other this weekend, obviously it was with the intent that no players will play a part in both. When they take on Barcelona at Wembley on Saturday, it should be the XI that plays against Arsenal the following weekend, Liverpool’s first choice starting lineup.

There will be much debate about who the Reds’ first choice team is. They’ve got options in abundance in attack and Jurgen Klopp will have to decide how to correctly balance the side between attacking verve and defensive responsibility.

Or, of course, he could do what he’s been doing in the preseason, playing with midfielders at fullback, one central midfielder behind four attacking mids and a striker. Go’ern then, attack, attack attack!

Barcelona will be a fun exhibition, a team that enjoys to possess the ball and patiently attacking. They’re the superior version to what the Reds will face against Arsenal to kick off their 2016/17 campaign.

Liverpool should have just about anyone who would be in the conversation to start to choose from barring Mamadou Sakho.
