Liverpool predicted XI vs Arsenal: Premier League opener
By Tom Bogert
AML Philippe Coutinho
This attacking quartet is so exciting, man, and Coutinho personifies that.
There’s nothing better than watching him pick up the ball with space to gather momentum at some poor defender. It’s just about the most exciting thing that can happen for Liverpool, other than the camera cutting to Klopp’s celebration after Coutinho scores.
The 24 year old continues to improve and this season shall be no different. Last season he lifted his Premier League goal total to 8. Like Firmino, that’s a number that he’ll be expected to surpass this year.
Due to injuries, fixture congestion and preference to the Europa League at the end of last season, Coutinho only could make 24 starts in the league. This season, he’ll make as close to 38 as his body will allow him to as the club have no continental competitions.
