RB Nathaniel Clyne

The fullback is set to play nearly every single game Liverpool have on the schedule this year. He has to, the only option behind him is now Connor Randall after Jon Flanagan left on loan.

Clyne is the most reliable player at Liverpool. He’s consistently a top player and someone who’s a defensively sound amid a club that has become synonymous with calamity at the back. Not to be confused with a mullet where there’s a party in the back. No parties between Mignolet and Martin Skrtel.

The fullback would usually be stuck dealing with Alexis Sanchez but the Chilean may play striker in Giroud’s absence if Wenger doesn’t stick Theo Walcott up top. Regardless, if not Alexis, it’ll be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Alex Iwobi or Ramsey, and Clyne will deal with whoever is lined up his opposite, like he did with Alexis last season.
