ST Daniel Sturridge

The main man: Daniel Sturridge.

The striker came on against Burton from the bench and casually banged in two goals, all in a days work. Granted it was a second division side, but it was great for Sturridge to see the net bulge a few times this season.

Sturridge endured a frustrating afternoon against Burnley with how deep they defended. He’d have to drop well deep to ever find himself on the ball as the midfield struggled to afford him many chances closer to goal.

Tottenham should play a much more open game which should give the Englishman more chances to play with.
