The antithesis of Alberto Moreno, Clyne finds himself in a foreign position of needing to recover some form from his match last week.

Other than one moment, he was typical old Clyne: reliable in defense, not the greatest going forward. But that one moment in the 2nd minute cost Liverpool a goal with his giveaway, and Mignolet’s natural allergy to making saves. After that, it was extremely difficult for Liverpool to come back.

And they didn’t. Nor did they come close, really.

I reckon Clyne won’t have much trouble recovering, though.
