ST Divock Origi (ON 69′): 5

I’d forgive you if you forgot he played. He didn’t really put an imprint on the match, though his introduction coincided indirectly with Tottenham beginning to grab the play with two hands so Liverpool didn’t have much of a chance to get him going.

ST Daniel Sturridge (ON 88′): N/A

Way too late for Sturridge to have much of an impact, or be much motivated to do so. It’s surprising to see his name on the bench so often when he’s fit. Most assumed that he’d be a dead certainty to start when he’s fit and I’m sure the player himself shares that assumption.

It’s been an inauspicious beginning of the season for Sturridge. It started with a knock (not a full injury, thankfully) which cost him a place against Arsenal followed by trips to the bench and disgruntled quotes about being pushed wide.

DM Kevin Stewart (ON 90+4′): N/A
