Liverpool’s current strongest line-up

Liverpool’s current strongest line-up to suit most situations
These ‘strongest line-up’ articles are posted pretty frequently on our site, and that’s because Liverpool players get into this team based on form, fitness and effectiveness on the field.
In an ideal world, the strongest line-up for Liverpool would never change, with the same 11 players being the best. In the real world, form effects players, making them better or worse over periods of time.
For some weeks, Philippe Coutinho shines as one of the best players in the Premier League, then in other periods he’s an average player who goes missing in some games. Form effects everyone, and consistency is hard to find – especially for Liverpool.
Our main issue is our inability to be consistent. We can beat Arsenal away, and then lose to Burnley just a week later. Everything depends upon the form of the players and how the tactics suit the team we’re playing.
Our strongest line-up for games against offensive teams might include quicker players for a counter attack, and more defensive midfielders to prevent conceding. The strongest line-up against teams that sit deep could then be entirely different with the aim of unlocking their tighter defence.
Most things in football are situational, and not everything is as straightforward as picking the best 11 players to represent the team’s strongest line-up. I’ve put together what I think is Liverpool’s current strongest line-up, trying to pick the most balanced line-up for all situations.
This will probably change in several games, and then it’s likely we’ll redo an article similar to this one with new players in each position.
Let us know if you agree or disagree with my strongest line-up in the comments down below, and feel free to share your strongest team.
The formation used for this team is a 4-1-2-3 with a deeper lying midfielder, two central midfielders, and an attacking three.
