RB Nathaniel Clyne

Clyne vs. Hazard. There’s not a player employed by Liverpool who I’d rather have spending most of the game next to Hazard.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, Hazard is firmly back from his one year sabbatical when he must’ve allowed his evil, less talented and less interested twin wear his jersey and assume his job last season. Because the man wearing the no. 10 strip at Chelsea is Eden Hazard again.

Clyne hasn’t reached the heights he was hitting every single week last season, but it’s early and he’ll be fine. It’s difficult for a player with his skill set to really stick out. Even Alberto Moreno has more memorable last ditch tackles than he did, plays you can remember.

But Clyne rarely is caught out on blunders. Fullback is a position that is usually only taken great notice to when there’s ineptitude. Clyne’s fantastic. And Liverpool needs him to be great against Chelsea, but we won’t notice if he is. And that’s the way it is.
