CB Dejan Lovren

Provided he has the ability to open his eye again, Lovren will step right back into the team.

It’s funny, Lucas Leiva must’ve thought he was replacing 2014/15 Lovren, not 2016/17 Lovren. That’s probably why he felt the need to outdo the old version of Lovren’s calamity by making a mistake for the Vardy tap in worse than anything Lovren did in his subpar debut season at Anfield.

There isn’t much of a selection dilemma in the center of defense. At the moment, if Matip and Lovren are fit, Matip and Lovren play. Simple as.
