Firmino is starting to get *some* of the plaudits he deserves after his Man of the Match performance against Leicester. Some writers are starting to say he should be recognized as a top player in the Premier League.

The Brazilian threw most casual fans off is scent with a very slow start to life at Anfield. Once Brendan Rodgers was gone and Firmino wasn’t playing a traditional right midfield role and has been allowed to generally play through the center under Klopp, he’s been fantastic.

In the calendar year of 2016, he’s got double digit goals. This season again he threw some off his trail by being in the background against Arsenal as Coutinho and Mane took the limelight, Firmino has slowly come on and culminated with the fantastic performance last week.

The Chelsea bracket of opponent has typically been the caliber that Firmino has shone brightest against.
