This is painfully unlucky for Sturrdige, but, how in the world do you change this team after the past few matches?

Also: is it possible that Sturridge is firmly on the outside looking in for Klopp’s first choice XI? He last two starts came against Leicester City, as Philippe Coutinho returned late from a hellacious international duty travel, then Chelsea, when Firmino had to pull out of the team last minute. Something to ponder.

But on Firmino, who seems to perform best against better opposition, is in line to play yet again against Swansea.
