DM Jordan Henderson

After last season, Liverpool had a few players who were surely irreplaceable, or damn near close to it. Emre Can was the embodiment of that.

With Henderson struggling with injury that leaked into his form for whenever he was able to be just fit enough to suit up, the other backups for Can included Lucas Leiva, Kevin Stewart and Joe Allen. Allen was clearly much more effective in a box to box role than as a no. 6.

This season, we figured more of the same. Can was tremendous last term and we still figured he was irreplaceable.

After a long summer with Germany than an injury, Henderson has been at the base of the midfield for the entire season and its worked wonders. The best teams have few players who are truly irreplaceable, thus dulling the reliance on one player is fantastic for the team.

Now, Can is fit enough to play in games but Henderson is set to continue to start. How do you change him or the midfield that’s been so impressive?
