CB Martin Skrtel

It didn’t take all that long for Skrtel to fall out of favor with Klopp, something that’d be inevitable for years.

Skrtel served Liverpool with great alacrity, but was a generally derisive figure by its end. He was lambasted for mental lapses, positional gaffes and a general impotence against quality attackers.

The warrior wasn’t even able to capitalize on Mamadou Sakho’s suspension by season’s end, with Kolo Toure preferred next to Dejan Lovren, the ultimate slap in the face for Skrtel.

His Liverpudlian fate was confirmed, and off to Turkey he was this summer.
