DM Lucas Leiva

Since Klopp arrived, Lucas has played more time in the center of defense than he has in midfield. Last October, he started in the midfield.

With no Jordan Henderson, Lucas was the first choice in the heart of midfield.

The Brazilian was granted a stay of execution this summer, avoiding the chopping block that caught so many other players in the teeth of axe.

So long that he’s content with a dearth of playing time, especially for the rest of this season, then he should stick around.
