Centre Back – Joel Matip

I don’t think anybody actually predicted Matip settling in this well. Against United he pocketed Zlatan with ease, keeping the United offence quiet. The more Matip and Lovren develop a strong partnership, the better our defence will become. His height could also be useful both attacking and defending set pieces, which could be crucial if our opponents sit deep.
