CM Emre Can: 6

When the lineup came out, one would assume Can to be a defensive midfielder. That’s not exactly how it worked out, though, as all three midfielders seemed to operate in a box-to-box capacity, similar to when Henderson was the de facto deepest midfielder.

Can was much sharper in his second start than his first. Got a hockey assist by having the pass that led to the assist for Mane’s opening goal.

We’re getting closer to the Emre Can we know and love.
