Does Danny Ings have a future at Liverpool following yet another cruel injury?

With Liverpool striker Danny Ings suffering yet another injury, his future could be in doubt. I’m going to start with the Tweet that made me consider writing this article.

The votes will have changed since the time this article was written, but currently 57% of voters say Ings doesn’t have a future at Liverpool.

After just returning from a long-term injury suffered early into last season (before Jurgen Klopp arrived), Ings featured in a competative game for the first time under the German against Tottenham. Upon making this appearance, he sustained damage to the cartilage in his right knee. This will require surgery, and the player will be out for a period of around 7-9 months.

The manager summed it up by saying “To say we are gutted would be an understatement”.

Almost every player in our team wished him a speedy recovery on social media. Most fans expressed how harsh it was for Ings to be knocked back once again. Personally, I’m gutted for him.

Ings works hard both on and off the pitch. Since joining he’s done nothing but give his all, and before the injury he picked up last season he looked promising.

The current question is, will Ings still be needed at Liverpool in 9 months time?
