 CB Joel Matip: 7.5

The man of the back-line. How he managed to not get a goal in on the other end, is surprising to say the least. In defense, this man has been the ultimate transfer for Klopp and Liverpool. Liverpool have been missing such a player for quite a while now. Joel Matip was outstanding in yesterday’s encounter.

Southampton’s front-line had to ask for permission to participate in the match, with Matip and Lovren being so commanding for Liverpool.
