LB James Milner: 7

The left-side wasn’t as potent as always, but Milner’s left-side partner looked a bit off the pace after international duty. Milner, like Clyne, was sound when called into action. Pushing forward was harder, as Southampton put eleven men behind the ball.

On a negative note though, the cross Milner let in from his side, which saw another goal scare come in on his watch. If it were to be Alberto Moreno, he would have been crucified. It looks as if manger Klopp needs to look at solving the left-back issue in the Jan window.
