Centre Back – Dejan Lovren

This is another one I can’t understand. Lovren was part of the team that lead us into two finals last season. He’s had some unbelievable performances in a Liverpool shirt, and has never wavered in terms of passion. Why is the hate for him still so strong?

I agree he has the odd bad game, something top class players shouldn’t let happen. Some have said he’s quality alongside someone better, such as Matip. That’s probably valid, yet it would mean Mamadou Sakho was that ‘better’ player making Lovren perform so well last season. Where’s he?
