Liverpool predicted XI vs Middlesbrough – The Red’s need to return to winning ways
A loss and a draw sees Liverpool stuck in poor form. It’s not all doom and gloom, but the team needs to step it up. We’re still third in the league and four points clear of 5th, but we know how quickly that could change.
The more games we lose/draw, the harder it gets for us to mount a title challenge. Realistically, I never expected us to be in one. Jurgen Klopp’s first full season, with his first real group of signings – I didn’t expect much. Top four was the big goal I had in mind for us this season, and thats very much alive.
Our opponents in this midweek fixture are Middlesbrough, who currently sit 16th in the Premier Leauge. Having lost to Bournemouth and the draw against West Ham, we need a result more than ever.
This isn’t the end of the world, but we’re starting to become desperate for 3 points. Our brilliant start to the season could all be for nothing if we don’t pick things up soon. Every team struggles at some point, however. So who knows?
