Centre Back – Dejan Lovren

Is it still taboo to say I want Mamadou Sakho to play? He seems rearing to go, but I trust Klopp if he doesn’t want him at the club. Sakho’s shown nothing but love, and got us as far as two finals last season, but if Klopp says no then its a resounding no. It would however be a true sign of the managers man-management skills if he could bring an out-of-favour defender back into the fold.

Dejan Lovren keeps his place not because he’s exuding confidence at the minute, but because theres nobody better. Ragnar Klavan could get a chance, but I’d rather see Lovren and Matip try to develop their partnership than taking a risk on Klavan.
